Unless you're just emerging from under a rock, you probably know that NYFW has officially kicked off. And, whether you're roughing it out in NYC or show-gazing digitally from a sunny spot in S.F., you're most likely just as hyped as we are.
Trust that we're not alone. Just in time for the shows, S.F.-based app Hipstamatic has teamed up with renowned photog Chiun-Kai Shih, who has shot for Vogue, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, and others (he knows his stuff) to launch a shiny new fashion-themed lens.
Meet "The Americana," a soft, light lens that allows you to shoot images in a catwalk-inspired style, so that you can amp up your fashion week photo-snapping skills and capture jaw-dropping, roll-with-the-big-dogs photos (all on your iPhone!).

Of course, it's good for off-the-runway action on this coast, as well. Like what you're reading? Note that from now through February 16, users can download this fashion-inspired lens and American flag-inspired case for free. And get ready for two new films to be added on February 17, for $0.99 a pop.
Plus, if you're lucky enough to be in NYC this week, catching all the action in person, note that nine top designers (Steven Alan, Robert Gellar, Saturdays Surf NYC, Converse, and more!) will be displaying their own Americana-captured snaps at a gallery in the city.
