The Temporary Hair Color Of Your Dreams

If you're anything like us, come summer you become a tad bit lazier. You walk a little slower to work in the morning, your lunch breaks tend to go longer, and beauty upkeep is basically non-existent. That dramatic haircut you had planned? Pass. Highlights? Forget about it.

So, when we heard hair-care brand Kevin Murphy had a way we could get our very own highlights without having to trek all the way to the salon, we were downright gleeful. The brand's Color Bug product claims to give your hair a temporary pigment that you can wash out as easily as you apply it.

We're no strangers to hair chalk, but the brand's Shimmer shade caught our eye — instead of a bright or pastel shade, it's a shimmery bronze. Obviously, we had to see what this would look like, which is why we tasked our associate fashion features editor Gina Marinelli with the job of testing it out.
