Our design philosophy has always been, "surround yourself with things you love." And it was working well until we looked around our apartments recently and realized we love a very…uh….eclectic mix of worldly home goods—placing our bedrooms' haphazard designs somewhere in-between hoarder and Moroccan bazaar. But, seeing as how we're going to be bundled up inside very soon, meeting Kevin Sharkey, Martha Stewart's right-whisk man (because we all know Ms. S. has whisks and glue-guns for hands), is making us realize simplifying our hibernation hide-out is the way to go. One space-saver? Sharkey's dining-room doubles as a ping-pong arena—trust us, it's flossy not fratty. We got a first-hand tour of Kev's 2,500-square-foot sleek, shiny, and spare stake in the Richard Meier towers on the Westside Highway—those views, that terrace, those closets—and we're ready to move in immediately, if not sooner! As Martha herself says, "It's a good thing."
