PSA: This Is The Only Bronzer You Need This Summer

Full disclosure: I am a bronzer addict. No really. For as long as I can remember, I've been all about the sun-kissed look—admittedly from the sun in my early teenage years in South New Jersey (yes, I know what you're thinking) but once I learned better, my makeup bag. I collect bronzers like it's my job — which, since I run the Refinery29 beauty closet, it kind of is. Over the years, I've amassed an embarrassing collection of glow-givers in a slew of different shades, finishes, and formulas. I've had on-again-off-again relationships with the majority of them and convinced myself I'd never find the one. That changed when I tried Make Up For Ever's newest bronzer, which is, for lack of a better word: ballin'. Prior to testing it out, I'd been partial to liquid and cream formulas, since they tend to look a bit more believable. Which leads me to why I love this product so much: it doesn't look or feel like powder at all. Make Up For Ever has settled on calling the formula a "unique waterproof gel-powder," which comes pretty close to describing how it feels on your skin. It essentially looks like a powder in the compact, but goes on like a superlight cream. (You might even check your brush to make sure you applied any at all.) It comes in two finishes, shimmery and matte; I prefer the matte, which gives a subtle radiance and works for contouring. Oh, and did we mention it's waterproof? Making it hella' ideal for summertime — melty-makeup moments, see ya' never. I'm almost done writing my love letter to this product, I swear, but I just have one more thing to add. You know how some bronzers only come in, say, two shades and neither of them work for your skin tone? Well, that's not the case here. Make Up For Ever developed six different shades in a variety of skin tones for light, medium, and dark skin. So, it really is suited for everybody — now everybody go try it (and let us know if you do in the comments below). Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion, $36, available at Sephora.com
