In the sweeping rainbow of summer music festivals, there are those that trend toward the more Top 40 end of the spectrum and those where you have to double check with a friend to make sure that the set was actually started (and not just sound check). The happiest of mediums is a music festival where you can pretty much guarantee that you'll get to see those responsible for the albums you've been listening to all summer, and fall in love with a few new (to you!) bands as well. Pitchfork hits that in-between, and pretty much guarantees that the present lineup has gone through the industry's most demanding checkpoint — namely Ryan Schreiber and his cadre of critics.
While not all the bands playing have made it above that coveted 8.0 benchmark, the kind of festival style they attracted sure hit double digits. Click through to see a few fans (some of them fellow musicians), and what they wore to Pitchfork's Music Festival this weekend.
