A Look Inside NYC’s Playboy Club In The ’60s

If you're feeling a little frisky thanks to this incredible weather (summer boyfriend anyone?), these photos from NYC's Playboy Club in its '60s heyday aren't going to exactly calm you down. Gothamist posted an article on the establishment, which, apparently, was once the epitome of chicness, judging by many of Playboy's original pictures from the opening night party. A "dazzling throng" attended the soiree, according to the '63 issue, (filled with many other one-liners typical of the era), while the snaps capture what was once a cosmopolitan "show club." We especially like the white telephone on the table—sophisticated!
