You could change your polish every day (something we'll get to later on) and spend an inordinate amount of time and your hard-earned cash getting manicures. But, chances are, you're still wrecking your own nails.
There are many bad habits we know are so wrong but feel so right (think picking, peeling, and biting), as well as scores of who-knew saboteurs like keeping your nails long and — surprise! — using nail-polish remover. So, to get the scoop on all the very bad things we’re doing to our digits, we spoke to New York City-based dermatologist Dana Stern, who specializes in nail health, and celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi.
