When Sephora does something, they definitely don't do it half-assed. Yesterday the brand announced that they were introducing a brand-new line-up of more than 200 nail polishes and nail care products. According to the brand, this new line will take the place of the their Sephora by OPI polishes, as that partnership has concluded, making the new collection the brand's largest nail assortment.
Called Formula X, the new line features colors, effects, and treatments. There are 93 colors on offer, plus over 50 effects polishes in 12 different categories. There's The Brilliants, disco ball-inspired multi-glitters; The Sparklers, 3-D metallic shimmers; The Celestials, matte metallics; The Superwatts, jelly glitters; The Chromes, liquid metallics; The Translucents, shiny sheers; The Holograms, holographic color shifters; The Transformers, illusionary topcoats; The Lusters, multi-sized glitter; The Shifters, shade-shifting duo-chromes; The Electrics, neon pearl and shimmers; and, our favorite, The Xplosives, matte confetti glitter that mimics a splatter effect. Whew!

The new shades and effects range from $10.50 to $12.50 each, while the treatments range from $10.50 to $14. Sephora is also offering something called The System: A nail cleanser, basecoat, topcoat, and color of your choice for $32. The brand is touting this line-up of three-free products as one of the most technologically advanced in the nail care industry, boasting exclusive and never-before-seen ingredients from around the globe, faster drying time, safe neon pigments, longer wear, super-opaque colors, precise application, and ultra-shiny finishes.
Having seen the polishes up close and tried them out firsthand, we have to agree: These are some of the fanciest, most innovative nail products we've ever laid eyes (nails?) on. We love that the brand is giving consumers so many options to customize their digits, allowing you to let your imagination run wild with a staggering array of effects. It gives every girl the chance to unlock her inner nail artist, without making it super-complicated or labor intensive. We see a lot of at-home mani masterpieces in our immediate future...
