Sneak Peek: Rue Mag’s East Village, Vintage-Inspired First Anniversary Spread

Lately, we've put equal importance on at-home adornments as we have on personal flare—why should our living rooms be less presentable than our everyday looks? For some serious home-spiration, we've been turning to the young home gloss, Rue Magazine and luckily, we've got a sneak peak at the mag's first anniversary edition, out tomorrow! We're especially digging this historically inspired sequence, shot at the East Village vintage furniture store, Old Village Hall, home to peculiar oddities, knick-knacks, and one-of-a-kind furnishings you truly won't find anywhere else. Not only are the bowler hats, antique chairs, and lights fit to provide a mood board for an entire apartment, but the photos of the shoot itself aptly replicate the worn and stoic posture of the pieces inside this inviting shop. The store owners, who double up as creative curators, help construct a definitively old world vibe, but we'd gladly pull bits of this worn aesthetic from the photos and collectables to update our apartment with vintage flare. So cool to see a new mag paying homage to old, old school style!
