The axioms and advice keep on coming. We're on our third installment of our Words of Wisdom series – a compendium of sage advice from our favorite fashion people inspired by inspired by Esteé Lauder's Drops of Advice campaign – and we've already learned so much thanks to Joanna Goddard and our own Neha.
Now we're turning to one of our favorite e-com queens, the lovely Ms. Nicole Warne of the equally lovely online boutique, Gary Pepper Vintage. How did this drop-dead-glamourous lady cultivate her top-shelf sophisticated style and develop the skills to launch her own blog, vintage boutique, and clothing line? The answer – as it is with so many things – is no further than her own backyard.

Nicole Warne, Blogger and Business Owner, Gary Pepper Vintage
"Life experience is something that comes with age, and the older I get, the more I realize how important it is to listen to your parents. Instead of wise words or specific quotes, my parents have always influenced my life by leading by example. They have lived passionately and built their hobbies into businesses. Some have worked while others have not, but they are happy and live with no regrets. They have nurtured my strengths, encouraged my ambitions, and provided the essential fundamentals I’ve used as stepping-stones to becoming the person I am today. The most important lesson I have learned from my parents is to live what you love, and love what you live. Discover your strengths and find what truly brings you happiness. All you really need is already within you, you just have to be daring enough to find it and courageous enough to pursue it. Life has no limitations, except the ones you make."
