We Finally Know What Happened When Yosef Shamed Clare On The Bachelorette & It’s, Uh, Real Bad

It is an actual fact that Clare Crawley is the oldest Bachelorette, but Yosef Aborady used what amounts to simple math as an insult. As many a Bachelorette promo has shown, one of the contestants was going to tell Clare, "I expected way more from the oldest Bachelorette." It was a moment made in producer heaven, because as we've also seen in the promos, Clare fired back, "I don't care what I've done. To sit there and say, 'You're the oldest Bachelorette,' guess what? I'm the oldest Bachelorette, that's 39, that's standing here, that's single because I didn't settle for men like that." We now know which man she was referring to, and the complete Yosef and Clare showdown was so much worse than the previews even hinted.

Yosef already got off on the wrong foot with fans during limo night, where Tyler C. accused him of flirting with other women on social media during quarantine. When Clare heard this, she confronted both men immediately. Yosef brushed off the accusation, and Clare seemed to believe him; she sent poor Tyler C. home. Turns out, keeping Yosef around may not have been the best choice (Bachelorette producers probably have a very different opinion).

Chris Harrison hinted in a Facebook Live video that Yosef would be controversial this season because he has no filter. "If there is something on Yosef's mind he's gonna say it," Harrison said. "He doesn't mind who he says it in front of and he doesn't mind who he stirs the pot with, and I mean anybody. So watch out for Yosef."

The contestant made good on Harrison's hints during the third episode, when he confronted Clare about the strip dodgeball date that he wasn't even on. In a Juan Pablo Galavis 2.0 conversation, Yosef slut-shamed Clare for the date that was planned by producers.

"You're not setting the right example for my daughter … I'm ashamed to be associated with you," he told Clare. After she patiently listened for a while, she tried to speak, but he kept interrupting her, insisting that he wasn't done talking. "You are done. Get out of here," she told him. She added that she never thought she would have to drop her infamous Bachelor finale line on anyone again after Juan Pablo, but she did on Yosef after he struck her last nerve.

"I would never want my children having a father like you," she said, to which Yosef responded, "You're not fit to be a mother to my child." He continued to yell things at her as he exited, shouting, "You're completely classless, Clare … remember, you're almost 40" and "she's all yours, boys."

As promised in promos, Clare then voiced her anger at the "oldest Bachelorette" comment to a producer. She was shaken, but steadfast in her refusal to accept being spoken to like that. Telling jerks off is basically her brand at this point, and she's not stopping now.
