I got face framing highlights

I’m Justine and I’ll be getting face-framing highlights today.

Right now I feel pretty "meh" about my hair.

Maybe I shouldn’t go so hard the first time I dye my hair. So face-framing highlights are a stepping stone for the future.

I’ll also be getting a haircut. The hairstylist will add some layers in to let the highlights look a little better.

At Soho's Fabio Scalia Salon, Claudia (colorist) and Fabio (owner) will be transforming my hair.

Growing up all of my friends had black hair, so I was the only one with lightish brown hair. It made me stand out.

I want a change. My hair is so similar to what I had growing up, and I want to be the mature version of myself.

Claudia did baby lights throughout, and back to back highlights in front. In between, she teased some pieces to create a ribbon effect throughout.

Hair makes people feel important. I think it generates energy, and it could be positive or negative.

I absolutely love it! The color looks great. I feel like an elevated adult human being.

I feel like now I match myself internally and I’m showing a more mature adult me through my appearance.
