- Ground pork
- Broth
- 1 Egg
- Cabbage
- Aromatics
- Thyme - Scallions
- All spice - Cloves
- Coriander seeds
- Cinnamon - Nutmeg
- Black Pepper
- Garlic - Ginger
- Scotch Bonnet Pepper
If you’re using whole spices, pound them out to break them up. Heat them over medium heat in neutral oil to toast. Watch carefully to make sure they don’t burn.
Once the spices are sizzling, pour over the cabbage and thyme.
In a large bowl, mix together pork, the cabbage mix, garlic, ginger, pepper, scallions, broth and egg. This is your filling.
Fold your dumplings how you normally would. In a non stick skillet, heat up a little oil and then heat dumplings until crisp. After, carefully pour in ½ cup of water and immediately cover.
Let steam/cook until water is evaporated. And voila!
