Levi’s And Nike Team Up For A Skate-Centric Collection (And Video)!

We're never ones to hide our deeply rooted adoration for local mega-brand Levi’s. Not only does it have a pretty stylish staff, but the homegrown label has been a Bay Area staple for generations and continually keeps us on the edge of our seats with its creative releases. Last year, it brought bikers a collection of commuter-friendly clothes — casual and created with two-wheeled transportation in mind. And this year Levi’s has paired up with athletic behemoth Nike and kick-pushed its design focus from bikes to skateboards (another S.F. staple, if you ask us).

The 511 Skateboarding Collection makes the hunt for durable, yet practical skate duds that go from board-to-bar and back again more than just a half-pipe dream. Each item in the line, from denim jackets to jeans, is designed specifically for skateboarders — and in the case of the Omar Salazar LR special-edition all-suede sneakers — by a skateboarder, too.
While some looks have already been released, the entire line can be found at select stores August 1. Plus, the promo vid for the iconic collaboration, which shows Bay Area native Salazar taking on the S.F. hills (as well as landing some amazing jumps) is enough to kickflip over. Peep the pro (and the clothes) in action above.
