Judging by the star power at this year's Met Ball, the East Coast trumped the West Coast in terms of red-carpet wattage. Of course, the 2011 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute was guaranteed some extra sartorial splendor—the theme, "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," drew a flock of the late designer's supporters, all of whom paid homage with a mix of archived punk rock looks and creations from Sarah Burton, who, though it's only May, has hands down already won the Busiest Dressmaker In The World award. And even the non-McQueen-clad guests made an added effort this year, with a slew of polished young starlets—Emma Stone, Dakota Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld—repping the new guard, and all of our original favorites—Gisele, Diane Kruger, Shalom—doing us proud. We put together a slide-show of the looks from last night that we've been talking about, tweeting about, and getting ready to copy...L.A., you jealous?
