Wow. Lady Gaga Might’ve Made Vogue’s September Issue Her Best Cover Yet

gaga
Guys. Just...you guys. We've heard tales of Gaga's September issue for Vogue — one of the most-guarded covers to date, but last night, at midnight, the badboy leaked. And, oh dear, it is good. Say goodbye to the sleek, "Alejandro"-era days from Gags' last U.S. Vogue-fronted issue ...and say hello to a truly glamorous (and September-worthy) issue.
Maybe it is because it's late and the staff is verging on delirious, but Gaga has determinedly hit the right pitch. All the ingredients for greatness are present: Styled by Grace Coddington and shot by photographers of the moment year Mert & Marcus, Gagaloo looks epic in a fuchsia Marc Jacobs dress with origami detailing, complete with voluminous curves and nipped and tucked in all the right places. She looks totally "in vogue." She looks larger than life. She looks so...Gaga.

But that's not all...

The second image that she released has her decked in over-the-top finery — a feathered chapeau created by Steven Jones — and nothing else. Seeing Gaga naked isn't all that big of a thing, but her swashbuckling, Louis XIV topper takes the vulnerable, pale-skinned singer to another level.
Doesn't she look sketched? Or like a cartoon version of what the past might of imagined the future to be like? Isn't her hair a little bit like a blonde version of her stylist for this session, Grace Coddington's? Are we going overboard with our adoration for this cover? Is it wrong to wish all glossies had this type of bright imagination when it came to their September issues? Questions, questions.
