Given her great style and mass appeal, Taylor Swift could probably get her hands on any fashion collab she wanted. But it makes perfect sense that she's going for Keds rather than, say, a luxury brand — Keds has the same youthful, friendly vibe that her music does. The star just penned a three-year deal with the sneaker brand, and her influence will be the center of a new rebranding initiative.
Swift's new album is called Red, and so her signature sneaks will go by the same name when they hit stores on October 22. But while all things Taylor can be found anywhere tweens can get to with their mom's car, the shoes are a bit more exclusive. They'll only be available on taylorswift.com, Nordstrom.com, Keds.com, and Journeys.com.

"I've been a fan of Keds for years, because they have two of my favorite elements of great style — they’re classic and effortless. I remember wearing Keds as a little kid, while riding my bike around the farm. When I got older, I started wearing them again. There’s something cool about shoes that you can grow up with,” Swift said in an interview with WWD.
We totally agree with Keds that Taylor is a hero for a lot of girls, and we couldn't live without our Keds, so this is a no-brainer on our shopping lists. The one downside? According to the president of Keds, this line is aimed at girls "13 to 24." Unless they're embellished with butterflies and sequins (and maybe even if they are), we're pretty sure Keds is a staple for people of all ages. (WWD)
