It’s been more than two weeks since Hurricane Sandy drove through the Tri-state area, and despite the enormous relief efforts of public officials and Good Samaritans alike, there are still houses to be built, electricity to be restored, and, ultimately, so much wreckage to be cleared.
Hot off the success of NBC’s live televised concert earlier this month, Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together (which raised a hot $23 million!), NYC powerhouse Madison Square Garden is joining forces with some of the most iconic musical artists for what’s been duly dubbed the "12-12-12 concert." Included in the immaculately diverse line up is Jon Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Kanye West, Roger Waters, and The Who, many of whom call New York home. More performers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the concert, and though no date for ticket sales has been announced, all proceeds will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which will provide help for millions of people who have been hard-hit by the superstorm.
