We're not worthy, we're not worthy! The greatest of elven women (a.k.a. Cate Blanchett for all you non-LOTR nerds), hit the red carpet looking royally ravishing in a Rodarte gown. Seriously, we had to restrain ourselves from bowing down to our Macbook Airs when the photos hit the newswires.
The actress traveled across the globe for the Life of Pi opening gala screening at the Dubai lnternational Film Festival. The frock, created by L.A.'s own Kate and Laura Mulleavy, came courtesy of the designing duo's spring '13 collection — inspired by medieval and fantasy role-playing games, no less! Although she left behind the chain-belt accent and dragon-ear cuff (add-ons that only played up the mystical runway theme), Blanchett was a true vision in her dusty-blue silk number with burnt-orange panels.
An ethereal updo and minimal makeup (who needs much when you've got that mug?), were the perfect additions to her otherworldly ensemble. Considering she's been known to opt for offbeat outfits, this is one where we're left completely and utterly spellbound.
