Angry, claw-like nails against green skin ominously close out the trailer for Oz The Great And Powerful, hinting at the sinister rise of everyone's favorite evil lady. But, nothing wicked this way comes on InStyle's March cover featuring the movie's three leading ladies (and consistent contenders for the top spots in our hearts), Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams.
The three share a breezy, pastel-laden "Spring Fashion" cover, but inside the trio shoots in a different theme on every page: black and white, insanely busy patterns, and color-blocked geometric. Totally modern and sleek, Rachel and Michelle sport some faux pompadours, while Mila kills it with a low, '60s-inspired ponytail.
The portfolio, hitting newsstands February 8, includes insights into the movie, costume revelations thanks to Mila, and a snap of each A-lister taking center stage while her costars vamp in the background. But the most heartwarming moment comes in the story comes from the human embodiment of sunshine herself, Michelle Williams, who had no idea that her boyfriend Jason Segel was a legitimate star on his own. "I mean, I saw the Muppets movie, and I thought, ‘oh, that’s cute,’ but the truth is I didn’t realize he made a lot of very popular, funny movies or was on a TV show. But maybe more important, I didn’t realize he was so tall [6’4”]. I thought, ‘Hey, man, you’re cramping my style!’ I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate, but it wasn’t me and I just gave up.”
