Stylish ladies and gents of New York, rejoice: Steven Alan is bringing his signature aesthetic to your apartment. The NYC designer — and favorite of cool kids everywhere — just opened his very first home store, and it is chock-a-block full of items to pump up your pad. Inspired by his many travels (and daily Big Apple adventures), the shop features textiles, furniture, and even plants. Think of it as a quirky museum — only this time you can touch the art.
In addition to the global selection, The Steven Alan Home Shop shows off pieces from all sorts of mom-and-pop local purveyors. There are woven rugs from KEA in Brooklyn, glassware from Brooklyn Glass Studio, and ceramics from Small Spells. The new digs are located right next to the designer's Tribeca outpost, so you can get yourself a double dose of hipster heaven. Just make sure you remember to pick up your terrarium.
