The biggest night in New York fashion is kicking off, and one of the very first faces to hit the carpet is the woman of the hour, Conde Nast creative director Anna Wintour. Like a true leader, the MET Gala's chairwoman showed up early, looking absolutely lovely in a floor-length floral Chanel gown, with her signature bob smooth, gorgeous, and coiffed. However, given the theme of the night, it's worth asking: Is it punk?
Pink floral probably isn't, but Wintour justifies her choice because she claims that curator Andrew Bolton told her that the color of punk is pink. Of course, he probably wasn't thinking of a flower print when he said that, but then again, this is the woman who helped get a urinal placed inside the MET...which is pretty darn punk. So, the consensus? On the outside, punk Anna isn't so different from the regular version — but she still certainly has some tricks up her (cap)sleeve.
