Planning Your Weekend? Put This Arts Fest On Your To-Do List

superslide
If you're anything like us, this epic weather is making you crave the weekend even more than on a typical Wednesday. Luckily, the weekend ahead is going to be a doozy, thanks to the Supernova Performance Art Festival. The ambitious three-day event will take place in Rosslyn, Va. where more than 75 performance artists will activate the neighborhood's raw spaces, parks, rooftops, and other public areas. Performances will take place all day, mingled with happy hours, discussions, and family-friendly events. Personally, we're stoked for the works by Wilmer Wilson IV, J.J. McCracken, and Holly Bass, as well as the awesomely-named Big Bang Dance Party on Saturday night. We can't think of a better antidote to the Hump Day blues than planning a weekend full of weird and wonderful art — can you?
When: Friday, June 7, through Sunday, June 9. See a full calendar of events here.
Where: Locations throughout Rosslyn; see a map of locations here. Big Bang Dance Party takes place at Artisphere, 1101 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington.
