If we had to make an abbreviated timeline of Kanye West's history with fashion, it'd go something like this: In 2011, West launches his line, "Dw", which isn't very well-received; Then, a year later, West makes a style statement on stage with his leather skirt; this year, of course, the rapper releases Yeezus, with fashion-heavy lyrics that make us believe he's got some pent-up anger against the industry; then today, rumors circulate that West is working on a collaboration with A.P.C.
Though West's relationship with fashion is certainly a complicated one, we have to say that the A.P.C. collab actually makes sense. In his W Magazine interview with West, Cristopher Bagley suggests there may be an upcoming "men's capsule collection of jeans, T-shirts, and hoodies for the hip French brand to be unveiled in July." And, given, West's friendship with A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou, it seems West's goal for a minimal aesthetic could find a home in the French brand. You know, maybe a croissant-print hoodie. Nothing too wild. (Four Pins)
