Makeup Unicorn: A Lipstick That Truly Will. Not. Budge.

I love a bright lip, but I'm very particular. I don't want to wear anything shiny or goopy, I don't want to have to reapply every 20 minutes/ever, and I don't want to be able to see my lips through the color (that ruins the point of bright lipstick). Red lipstick is pretty essential to my life, but there's only one kind that fulfills all of my needs and I swear by it with my whole heart: Sephora Collection's Cream Lip Stain.
You guys, liquid lipstick. It's the future. I don't know about you, but when I try to put on standard lipstick I just can't color in the lines. The tiny applicator of this goes on easy, plus the texture is gloss-like, so it just slides right on. It dries pretty quickly to a solid matte finish and lasts approximately forever. And when I say matte, I really mean matte. No shine, no nonsense. No stickiness, either.

Also? It comes in lots of colors, but (relevant to my interests) it comes in two different reds that are equally perfect. Always Red is a pure, classic red with blue undertones that's basically everything I've ever wanted in a color, and Strawberry Kissed is a vibrant slightly pink red that is perfect for daytime and/or summer. I get asked about these two colors literally every time I wear them. I recommend it to everyone and I've never seen either color look bad on anyone, regardless of skin tone.
Just to circle back for a second about how long this lasts: It lasts so long that halfway through the day I wipe it off and reapply. I don't have to do this, but, you know. I drink a lot of coffee and sometimes it's nice to have a fresh start. It's not inherently drying — but since it lasts so long, my lips do sometimes get a little flaky. I exfoliate my lips and around them before I put it on, and that usually helps.
Maybe the best part of all of this is the $12 price tag. I buy 'em two at a time. My greatest fear is that Sephora will stop making them. So, if you love red lipstick, you'll love this; but also, if you're not sure if you do, this is a great product with which to figure it out. Though I can't imagine how anyone wouldn't love it.
