You guys, it finally happened. Two of the most influential women in our world have joined forces. That's right, Hillary Clinton and Anna Wintour met up this week — they even posed for pictures together. And, surprisingly, the world did not explode due to an overwhelming amount of female greatness in one room. The circumstances surrounding their joyous meeting were honorable indeed (although, who's surprised?) — the two showed up to a dinner raising funds for God's Love We Deliver, a charity that brings meals to homebound New Yorkers.
Michael Kors hosted the star-studded event, and thus we are forever indebted to him for bringing together two of our biggest role models. During the fête, Clinton stepped up to the microphone to offer some of her infinite wisdom and a few lighthearted musings on the state of the government shutdown. "The Senate did pass a deal tonight," she told the party's attendees. "So hopefully we can put this behind us. With the headlines and the despair that some feel watching the news, my advice is don’t watch." After her remarks, she joined the Vogue editor at her table for a few bites and what we can only imagine as mind-boggling conversation. What a dream pair. (Women's Wear Daily)
