Lady Gaga's not afraid to put it all out there, and that includes her derriere. So, all in the name of promoting her forthcoming ARTPOP track "Do What U Want," (featuring none other than the thong-promoting R. Kelly), Gaga stripped down to, yes, a thong. Star photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin just so happened to be on hand to take a "candid" Polaroid, the one now making waves on the Internet. Gaga posted the results on Twitter and they're, erm, as cheeky as you would imagine.
What's still inconclusive is if this revealing shot (complete with a scrawled title) is the cover we'll see on iTunes when "Do What U Want" drops (at 12:01 a.m.) on October 21st. Other sites are reporting that an alternative promotional image — featuring a naked Gaga strategically covered in moss — is the actual single art; at the very least, it will be featured in ARTPOP's promotional booklet. Mother Monster's tribute to Mother Earth, we presume? Either way, we get the idea that ARTPOP will be a clothing-optional affair.
