A leotard; a wide, structural belt; the hand-on-hip power pose. Jennifer Lawrence was like a red-carpet superhero last night at the L.A. premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Yet, the most powerful statement-maker was her completely sheer, lavender Dior dress, which exposed said leotard and, well, lots of skin.
With a wide, voluminous train, the dress was actually pretty spot-on — not just for Lawrence, but also her HG alter ego, Katniss Everdeen. In fact, if this was indeed the opening ceremony of the 2013 Hunger Games (not wishful thinking, but play along, please), this number is just the kind of modern, powerful look we'd love to see the Girl On Fire wearing. Perhaps with an accompanying fireworks headpiece as she entered on a chariot, burning a bright, coordinated shade of blue.

However, this dress was still a bit of a risky choice for Lawrence, and it's quite different from some of the other, more classic-Hollywood looks she's sported during the movie's premiere tour (this or this, for example). But, is Lawrence's latest ensemble a no-pants, no-problem masterpiece? Or, would you pass on the superhero-channeling outfit?
