She's a little country. He's a little R&B. But, together, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake just might be the music duo of our dreams.
Allow us to explain. It seems Tennessee native Timberlake is keen to return to his country-music roots, having listened to the genre as a boy as well as working with Reba McEntire in the past. He also sees his career moving into more of a mentoring role, suggesting he might be open to producing.
"I've been doing what I’m doing now for a long time," the singer says. "There might be another calling for me out there. And, it might be being a part of music in this way as a communicator and a teacher and a guide.”

Now, who out there has a background in country and pop and could be poised to take her music to the next level? Why, it's Taylor Swift!
“She’ll get her day in the sun when she’s ready to move the needle,” Timberlake says of Swift. “That was something I was very conscious of. I was in a group that was bigger than bubble gum. Talk about stadiums. We played every stadium in the world, it feels like. It’s almost like, with anything, when you do settle into adulthood is when people respect you in a different way. But, there’s no question in my mind that that’s where she’s going, if she so chooses. For me I am sort of the oracle of the idea, and I’m also the communicator of it.”
Okay, so he hasn't exactly said that he's planning to work with our country girl, but surely the powers that be can make this pairing happen. A Timberlake-produced album by Taylor Swift is just the kind of thing we'd download in a heartbeat. But, hey, we'll settle for a duet. Pretty please? (ONTD)
