Perhaps you gave a few DIY gifts this holiday season that fill you with an awful lot of pride. Well, we hate to break it to you, but Kanye West has you one-upped. After all, when you're Yeezy, you can hire a professional to do the crafting. And, your medium? A Birkin bag. In this case, we're referring to a piece by George Condo, the artist whose work was featured on the cover of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and now will forever be known as the man who painted nudes all over Kim Kardashian's Hermès.
The bag first made its social-media debut on Kardashian's Instagram this morning, where we spotted a close-up of the Condo painting. We counted at least four naked figures, including one in a green, monster-like mask.
Yet, while you might choose to keep this artwork in the back of a closet a safe place, the reality star's already getting good use out of her "#ChristmasPresentFromYeezy," as she toted the extra-large Birkin around Beverly Hills yesterday. Hey, we're not ones to turn down a present that's one of a kind. But, this carryall does make us wonder if Kim experienced that awkward "gee, thanks" moment when you unwrap a present that clearly didn't come with a gift receipt.
