The Girls Premiere Red Carpet Featured Shiny Frocks Aplenty

A premiere for Girls may not be up there with the Met Gala, but judging from the high turnout of NYC celebs and influencers on the red carpet, last night's HBO event was not one to be missed. Yep, not even in the face of those subzero temps. And, of course, the focus of the evening was on the foursome we fondly know on a first-name basis: Hannah, Marnie, Jessa, and Shos.
But, before reuniting onscreen, Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet also stole the spotlight with outfits as different as the roles they play on the show. Dunham arrived in a seriously sparkly Rochas number from the spring '14 collection — a far cry from floral prints and mesh tanks — while Williams wore a short, playful, pastel party frock from Dior. Meanwhile, Mamet, whose character is neither afraid of bright shades nor fascinators, opted for the most minimal of looks in a Saint Laurent LBD. And, finally, Kirke's cream-colored gown was a perfectly glamorous and elegant Geminola dress and Lulu Frost jewels that perfectly complement the actress/artist.
While those not in attendance at the Lincoln Center party last night will be waiting until next Sunday for the official HBO premiere, at least we can feast our peepers on a bit of red-carpet eye candy, courtesy of our favorite millennial motley crew.
