Sexting? So 2013. While vibrating panties have been around for quite some time now, techies are taking wearable pleasure to a whole new level. The latest development is an app-controlled massager designed to be worn...in your underwear. That's right, ladies — get excited, because OhMiBod, developer of the “the original iPod vibrator," has unleashed its new blueMotion vibrator, using Bluetooth technology.
Compatible with Android and iOS smartphones, the portable, "discreet" massager will be available starting this March for $139. "For some couples, the explosion of the digital age has resulted in a shift in intimacy, as many pay more attention to devices than their partners," OhMiBod said in a press release. The company hopes that its new product will bring couples closer together and help them connect, using the very same technology that usually creates the great divide. blueMotion can also record ambient sound for up to 60 seconds, so users can buzz to vibrations generated by a partner's voice or their favorite beats (smooth jazz, anyone?).
For now, the device must be in Bluetooth range of the phone controlling it to vibrate, but makers are hoping to create a long-distance version within the year. Hey, we're not sayin' that a pair of vibrating panties aren't a thrill — but we have to ask: Is this really more simple than a remote control? Can technology take things a little too far? You be the judge. (The Cut)
