It broke our hearts when Mulberry announced it wouldn’t be showing at London Fashion Week this season. The playful, quintessential English-eccentric runway show (complete with doggies galore) was always a highlight on our calendar.
But, it seems like we may still get our hit of this it-Brit label after all. Yesterday, the brand released a teaser video with its campaign star, Cara Delevingne, with the tag line #SeeYouSunday. Shot in black and white, the supermodel walks across Paddington train station, her expression as inscrutable as a sphinx. The film flashes to images of cabs, a hand-sketched illustration, and finishes with Delevingne proclaiming, “See you Sunday!”
What does it all mean? Rumours have been rampant. Is Delevingne designing a handbag collection for them? Or a new range of temporary tattoos? Quite frankly, your guess is as good as ours. The label admitted to Vogue that it is working on a “creative project” with her, but wouldn’t elaborate any further.
All will be revealed on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. G.M.T. and you better believe we’re going to tell you all about it. Till then, behold Ms. Delevingne making Paddington Station her very own personal runway.
