Kristen Bell’s Sheer Orange Lipstick Is Basically Perfect

We've been all about bright-orange lips around here recently, as it's pretty much the ideal spring color. But, since it's not actually spring yet (sigh), we've also been on the lookout for more subtle takes on the trend. As of today, our search might be over, all thanks to Kristen Bell, who is apparently way ahead of us. She's figured this whole March-beauty thing out gorgeously. Case in point: Check out that sheer, luminous, cantaloupe-colored lipstick. It's pre-spring perfection in one lovely makeup look. To keep the whole look soft and playful, her blush is the same color as her lipstick, with a similarly luminous quality. It's entirely possible that her makeup artist actually used the lipstick on her cheeks and then sheered it out with her fingers (one of our favorite tricks). Her messy, texturized hair gives the whole thing a casual-cool feel, which is tricky to do when you're wearing a full face of makeup — but we think she pulls it off like a pro.
