H&M’s Sister Brand Changes Everything

We've been anxiously awaiting COS’ arrival in the U.S. ever since we spied the H&M-owned brand's sleek, professional wares in Europe (well, okay, on European tourists). Now, with COS' first U.S. store opening soon in New York, WWD reports that the brand already has plans for U.S. expansion. For those of us who covet luxe-looking basics with under-$100 price tags (read: everyone), this is very, very good news.
The ink's just dried on the lease for COS' first West Coast store, located in Beverly Hills. The 13,000-square-foot shop will fit right in to a row of contemporary retailers that currently includes Theory, Maje, Sandro, AllSaints, and Intermix. COS will also continue its partnership with Opening Ceremony, with COS pop-up stores opening at the OC shop online and in New York and Los Angeles on April 17. Needless to say, we can only hope the brand continues its U.S. takeover apace.
Now, if you're wondering what's got us so excited, click through for a taste of COS' utterly sleek, modern, miraculously affordable clothing. Tragically, the site does not yet ship to the States. So, consider this an appetite-whetting glimpse at what we'll all be wearing to work come spring. (WWD)
