Sia’s “Chandelier” Is The New Press-Repeat Song Of 2014

It's about time Sia released a powerhouse track of her own. Though every other song playing on the radio features her influence (read: Beyoncé, Britney Spears, and Katy Perry writing credits), she, herself, hasn't put out her own material since last fall's "Elastic Heart" featuring The Weeknd and Diplo.
After teasing a cryptic photo last week that basically had us all twiddling our thumbs as to what she had a-cookin', we can enthusiastically say "Chandelier" has arrived. It takes a cue from Robyn's cry-on-the-dance-floor vibes and meshes it with that Rihanna sparkle she's helped grow and shape. The theme isn't that new: party girl living in the moment, throwing back drink after drink, and waking up to, as Sia sings, "shame." It's Sia's vocals that keep it sounding fresh and totally original. And, due to the track's blissful chorus and blurry, morning-after verses, it'll fit perfectly on anyone's pre-game or post-game playlists. Though, once the inevitable four-on-the-floor remix surfaces, we're sure you'll be hearing this track while dancing into the wee hours of the night.
