Sure, we've forsaken drinks and dinners out to afford a fashion splurge. But, literally no amount of belt-tightening could make this dress affordable. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the most expensive frock of the season, Marc Jacobs' “Puffy Clouds Embroidery Dress.”
The Cut reports that the dress was made in a Swiss embroidery mill. There, artisans made each flower out of crushed diamonds and unicorn fur organza stuffed with three meters of yarn. The fabric, which was specially commissioned by Jacobs' design studio and took three people one week to make, cost €8,000 per meter. That's just over $11,000, if you're counting (and at these prices, who is?).

The frock will be loaned out to celebs and for fashion shoots and then retired to Marc Jacobs' archives at the end of the season. It's also available for purchase by special order for only $28,000. But, since the median income for Americans age 18 and over is currently around $24,000, we wouldn't order too much organza, Marc. (The Cut)
