After the debacle that was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, legions of fans may just sleep easier knowing their beloved franchise won't be tarnished any further by another haphazard cash-grab.
Just don't tell that to Disney.
The mouse house seems intent on making a fifth installment, after purchasing LucasFilm for $4 billion last year. The studio is currently in full Star Wars mode, but look for them to set their sites on Indy after the release and surefire success of J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated reboot.
While the studio admitted in December to not having a script in place, Latino Review reports that they do have their eyes on a certain leading man to inherit Harrison Ford's whip and fedora. Bradley Cooper is reportedly at the top of the studio's list to star as a younger version of the character in what might be a brand new trilogy. With his potent mix of rugged charm, Cooper strikes us as the perfect choice to introduce the adventurous archaeologist to a whole new generation of filmgoers.
