Last November, as America began to stir from its sleepy, post-Thanksgiving haze, news broke that Paul Walker had died in a car accident. Questions over how and why circulated in the following weeks, along with speculation over whether or not Fast & Furious 7 would continue filming. At first, Universal Studios execs put the project on hold, though just days later Vin Diesel confirmed that Walker's final movie would, in fact, continue filming.
Today, the official Facebook page for the franchise shared more news. Walker's two brothers, Cody and Caleb, are helping "complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production." The Hollywood Reporter reported that Walker's Brian O'Conner character will not be killed off in the film, but, rather, retired. He had, according to the Fast & Furious announcement, already completed his key scenes, what the post calls "the strongest work of his career."

The film doesn't open until April 10, 2015, so we'll have to wait a full year for our final glimpse of Walker onscreen. One thing's for sure, though: Cody and Caleb have some pretty big shoes to fill.
