Living in the Big Apple, we're lucky to have the best of everything right at our doorsteps. However, as much as we hate to admit it, there's one gaping void in our entertainment complex: There are no cat cafés in the city. The dearth of feline-petting establishments has been a real downer for kitty lovers — until now. With the latest news of the Purina ONE Cat Café, we feel like the gods are finally smiling upon us.
Following the footsteps of London and San Francisco, NYC is finally getting its first taste of a kitty paradise. The pop-up venture is backed by Purina ONE and will be open from April 24 to 27 at 168 Bowery. Front and center for cuddling will be rescues from the North Shore Animal League in Long Island that are all available for adoption — should you want some prolonged lovin'.
If the announcement is not enough to get your paws up, there will be complimentary food and beverages sponsored by Cafe Grumpy. We're just gonna catcall it right now: This will be the purrfect weekend to end all weekends. (Gothamist)
