Rachel Comey Talks Resort & Working Retail

Last night, Rachel Comey's first brick-and-mortar store opened right next to her very own apartment in Soho. The expansive shop on Crosby Street (you may recognize it as an old carpet dealer) is a mecca for all things Comey, like easy frocks, structured jumpsuits, and, of course, those shoes. Still, Rachel insists she knows nothing about retail and that the journey to opening those now-coveted doors (not to mention to becoming one of New York's darling designers) was one lead heavily by instinct. Ahead, we chat first jobs, shoplifters, and the family biz.
