Behold: The Full-Length Gone Girl Trailer Is Finally Here

As we inch closer and closer towards the first trailer for Mockingjay - Part 1, another eagerly anticipated fall movie just beat it to the punch. While most observers were lukewarm after the first teaser for David Fincher's Gone Girl, the brand new full-length trailer does not disappoint. Not only do we get our first taste of Trent Reznor's brooding score, but we see a lot more of the sinister undertones that marked Gillian Flynn's eponymous best-selling novel.
In it, Ben Affleck plays Nick Dunne, a man who may or may not have killed his wife (Rosamund Pike). Based on the extended clip, the film is vintage Fincher: a weaving whodunnit awash with hushed tones and knowing glances. Fincher's last attempt at adapting a beloved crime novel for the screen didn't go so well, after The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo fell short of box office expectations. Something tells us he'll fare better this time around.
Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Scoot McNairy, Boyd Holbrook, and Emily Ratajkowski join Affleck and Pike in what will likely be one of the biggest films of the year. Get your ticket when Gone Girl is released on October 3.
