Kendall Jenner Makes Her Chanel Couture Debut, In Flip Flops

Today marked another major milestone for the Kardashian/Jenner clan because — as we suspected — Kendall Jenner made her Couture Fashion Week debut. And, yes, it was in flip flops.
Last time Chanel presented its Couture collection, the storied fashion house made a point to prove that, precious as they may be, the designs could easily be worn with a pair of trainers. And, at today's presentation, the brand suggested that its intricate creations are as everyday-friendly as ever. Well, as everyday as Kendall Jenner in Chanel can possibly be.
While the newcomer swished by in a feather pompadour with matching, oversized sleeves and a pair of ankle-strap thongs, other models wore biker shorts that peeked beneath tweed suits, pristinely tailored overcoats, and skirts with flirty, flipped hems. Consider it a Lagerfeld-approved, practical addition to the world of couture; an invitation to wear something that's beautiful and allows you to walk, jump, dance, and maybe even climb under the table to pick up a dropped fork. As for Kendall, with these C-shaped notches on her belt, she's shaping up to be a serious fashion model.
