Today in Reminders We’re Growing Older: Calvin Klein Jeans plans to re-release a range of its best-known garments in collaboration with Mytheresa.com. The face of the collection is 16-year-old Lottie Moss, half-sister to Kate, who posed alongside Mark “Marky Mark” Walhberg in 1993 for the brand. For the campaign photos ahead, the younger Moss mugged for Michael Avedon, grandson of Richard Avedon; the latter responsible for Brooke Shields’ CK ads. The gang’s all here, sort of (minus any crotch-grabbers).
Avedon told British Vogue, “Lottie truly represents the essence of the Calvin Klein girl… intriguing innocence with utter beauty.” A Storm Model like her half-sister, she has appeared in Dazed & Confused and Teen Vogue. “However, as she is in full-time education she is concentrating on her exams,” a Storm rep. previously said.
The “Calvin Klein Jeans x Mytheresa.com The Re-Issue Project” launches Wednesday. Priced from $106 to $416, the offering includes logo T-shirts, logo sweatshirts, high-waisted and low-rise jeans, overalls, denim shirts, jackets, and high-waisted shorts, per Women’s Wear Daily. “This...capsule is all about a nostalgia for the nineties and that whole look feeling very right again,” designer Kevin Carrigan explained to the trade. “It now feels like the perfect time to reissue the brand’s iconic hits to a new generation.” It now feels like a ploy to get everybody into overalls, really.
