Aside from creating Glee, Nip/Tuck, and a little ol' show called American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy is apparently a wish-granting genie, too. While visiting EW Radio, Neil Patrick Harris talked about that one time he wrote Murphy asking to join the cast of the upcoming fourth season of AHS: Freak Show.
"I wrote a letter to Ryan asking if I could be in it. Even though I wasn't even available to be in it. And, he didn't respond," Harris said. Maybe the letter got lost in a déluge of fan mail. Maybe Murphy thought someone was yanking his chain, pretending to be Harris (can't say it hasn't happened before...). Either way, when Murphy heard about NPH's request, he put on his genie cap and granted the Hedwig actor's wish — via Twitter, of course.
@ActuallyNPH of course you can be on Freak Show! I have a role I think you'd love.

Now, because Harris' Broadway run as Hedwig has him in the Big Apple until August 17, scheduling could be tough. Filming of the new season, however, seems to have just begun.

Murphy shared photos from the first days of shooting, including a picture of Sarah Paulson's conjoined-twin characters Dot and Bette. Fingers-crossed filming continues into September, since Harris would make a fine freak. We mean that as the highest compliment. (Vulture)
