Anna Wintour. We caught a glimpse of the chief at a sneak preview of one of the most-anticipated Met exhibits of the year,
Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations
. She, in a stand-out tangerine outfit (of course she got the memo, or maybe even wrote the memo, herself!), posed with Miuccia Prada, Stefano Boeri (Milan's Commissioner of Culture, Fashion and Design) and Met Curators Andrew Bolton and Harold Koda.
The exhibit, on view to the public beginning May 10, will explore the likeness between the two Italian designers, spanning very different eras. Both iconic women, their ensembles will be presented with videos and archival pieces in seven galleries exploring design themes from "Hard Chic" and "The Classical Body" to various crafts of design like "Waist Up/Waist Down." Fashion students and Wintour wanna-bees, arm yourselves with notebooks and pencils, because this exhibit is sure to be enlightening and well, simply genius. As for us, we're still waiting on our invite to the Met Gala.
