Here's a confession — we love a good brunch. As in, we would eat breakfast three meals a day if it were socially acceptable, and if that level of bacon-consumption wasn't potentially life-threatening. But seriously, brunch is an art form around here, and there's no shortage of places where you can plop down for some highly caffeinated people-watching (even if you're watching from behind a very necessary pair of shades).
Our current obsession? Birch & Barley's Boozy Brunch, which, while not exactly new, is nonetheless amazing. $30 gets you a batch of freshly fried doughnut holes, your choice of brunch entree, two (!) cocktails, and bottomless coffee or iced tea. For entrees, options range from whiskey french toast to fried chicken and waffles. Whether you choose the hot butter rum, brunch punch, or a mimosa made with orange or grapefruit juice, you'll be pleased (and maybe a little tipsy). So, if you need a fun diversion during the next-to-last weekend of holiday shopping, snag a reservation. Just save us some doughnut holes, will ya?
