Black on black is an easy and obvious combination — it's sleek, sexy, edgy, and yes ma'am, it's flattering. But eventually we need a switch up; a new way to wear a faithful trend. Therefore, instead of going the monochrome-black route, we're loving this example of dark layering for an all-over knockout look.
Starting with a basic LBD in a body-hugging shape, simply layer on a some dark-denim and coordinating dark booties. For good measure, throw in one or two not-so-shadowy accessories (like a neutral-colored crossbody bag) to break up things a bit. Trust us, you'll still have that whole dark-and-mysterious thing goin' on.
