So, what's the most fashionable flower girl in all of NYC, Denise Porcaro, do when the leaves change and temperatures drop? Well, obvs, she switches up the summer blooms in her bouquets for something a little more seasonal. But, her personal-style arrangements also change with the weather.
"I love the changing New York seasons," she tells us. "Even though spring (especially in my job) allows for newness and regrowth, fall also seems fresh after all those lazy beach-bum days. It, also, always allows for layering and combining textures. Personally,
I've been eyeing textured tweeds, colored pants, and leather for the season. Oh, and I love a good cashmere sweater (or four)."
As the public face of a growing business — Flower Girl NYC — Porcaro also has to stick to items that go the distance, no matter the situation. "I like to have and wear nice things, but I'm on the go a lot — transitioning from one meeting to the next. Everything has to be able to go from work to play, and investment pieces are key."
