It looks like there may be a new, hip ‘hood on the horizon. Emeryville, which many S.F.'ers only visit for IKEA, West Elm, and the like, has been making some major waves lately, thanks to two super-cool additions to its burgeoning bar scene. First, boxing-themed hangout Prizefighter moved in (check out our sartorial guide to the spot), followed by the much buzzed-about Honor Bar, which officially opened this week. We've been to the latter, and we’re pretty excited about the new grub and booze spot, which is helmed by Alex Smith (formerly of Gitane) and Jordan Grosser of Stag Dining Group.

Eater SF got the 411 on the new space, along with close-up snapshots that showcase the bar-slash-resto’s lived-in décor
(deep black curtains, vintage pinball machines, etc.). Fun fact: Although it reads "Sushi Village" on the exterior, apparently Honor Bar has been functioning as the commercial kitchen for local eateries Park Chalet and Beach Chalet. Interesting. We can’t wait to sip more of the delish cocktails (The Von Teese is calling our name). Yum!
